Changelog
- v0.15
Yearly plans, repository linking and faster deploys
- Connect a GitHub repository to a project you already deployed from a folder or the CLI: Project › Settings › Git repository › Connect repository. Pushes then deploy to the same project, with its URL, domains and analytics intact.
- Much faster deploys of big sites: files travel in batches instead of one request each, uploads show progress and retry on their own, and a busy server tells the CLI how long to wait.
- Pay yearly and get two months free: Starter $90, Pro $290, Agency $790 a year. Switch between Monthly and Yearly on the pricing page and in Billing.
- Billing shows when a plan is billed yearly and when it renews. Yearly renewals are covered by the refund policy.
- v0.14
Sign-in for your apps, and your own Postgres
- HostEdge Auth: add email and password sign-in, magic links, password reset, email confirmation and Google or GitHub to an app, stored in your own project database. One file, no dependencies.
- HostEdge sends the sign-in emails for your app, with your project’s name, and limits them per plan (50 a day on Free up to 10,000 on Agency). Prefer your own sender? Pass a function.
- A new Authentication panel on every database lists the people who signed up and lets you sign them out, disable or delete them.
- Connect Postgres on the Storage page: paste a Neon, Supabase or any Postgres connection string and it is saved, encrypted, as DATABASE_URL in every environment, with warnings for common mistakes.
- Pricing buttons go straight to checkout, and the favicon is easier to see in dark browser tabs.
- v0.13
Billing you can follow, and a new tagline
- Payments run through Creem, a merchant of record: it handles tax and invoices, and prices show “plus tax”. Checkout is dark, branded and on our own pay.hostedge.app address.
- Emails for every billing event: subscribed, plan changed, renewal, cancellation, failed payment, refund and dispute, with a receipt line. Each can be turned off in Account › Notifications.
- A refund policy page, and the footer now shows the support address and company name.
- New tagline: deploy from a folder, a repo or your AI. Plan cover images in checkout, matching new descriptions.
- www.hostedge.app now redirects to hostedge.app.
- Five voiced tutorials: deploy a site, connect a domain, let your AI deploy, add a database and secrets, and when a deploy fails.
- v0.12
Functions, referrals and support
- api/*.js files in the Vercel style now run as functions, with your databases, key-value stores and files passed in as env.
- One-click DNS setup for domains on Cloudflare: authorize once and every unfinished domain of the project is set up. Clearer errors for everything else, and a Make primary button on every domain.
- The live URL shows your primary custom domain. Customer domains now reach the right site on every address.
- Invite friends: you and each friend get one more free project. Disposable email addresses can’t sign up.
- Support requests inside the dashboard, with replies by email.
- Faster pages: smaller marketing images, long caching and richer search and AI discovery files (llms.txt, MCP server card).
- v0.11
HostEdge, and a toolkit for AI assistants
- The product is now HostEdge, at hostedge.app, with a new logo, branded emails and a new home page.
- MCP server with 47 tools: projects, domains, cron, forms, monitors, storage, usage and members, with permission checks and a typed confirmation for deletes.
- Failed deployments are explained in plain language, with a ready prompt to paste into your AI assistant. The same diagnosis is in the MCP tools.
- Agent-friendly CLI and Agent kit (AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md, SKILL.md), a CLI install script, prompt-to-site starters, and docs as Markdown with search.
- A compact GitHub repository picker, and the CLI is published as hostedge.
- v0.10
Safer data, plan switches and sharper checks
- Preview copies of databases, key-value stores and files, so preview branches never touch production data. Copy production data into a preview with one click.
- Restore a database to any minute in the last 30 days, with Undo restore.
- Switch plans inside the dashboard with a proration preview, and opt in to pay-as-you-go overage with a monthly cap you choose.
- Storage and key-value usage are measured and shown with notices at 80 % and 100 %.
- Links on held deployments are checked against Safe Browsing and reviewed in a sandbox. OAuth for MCP clients.
- Live log tail, faster container builds with a dependency cache, share-card screenshots of production sites, five more templates.
- v0.9
Abuse protection, staff console, public docs
- New free accounts’ sites are checked for phishing pages, wallet drainers and hidden loaders before going live; most pass instantly.
- Report a site at /abuse. Suspended sites answer “unavailable” on every address, custom domains included.
- Docs for every feature, a live status page, and plain-language terms, privacy and acceptable use policies.
- v0.8
API tokens, the CLI and webhooks
- API tokens with scopes and expiry, shown once and stored as a hash.
hostedgeCLI: login in the browser, deploy with a streamed build log, tail logs, pull environment variables.- Signed outgoing webhooks for deployments, domains and projects, with retries and a delivery log.
- ⌘K now jumps to any project tab: type “shop logs”.
- v0.7
Plans, billing and usage
- Starter, Pro and Agency plans through a secure hosted checkout; change or cancel in the billing portal.
- Usage meters for requests, bandwidth, projects, domains and seats, with notices at 80 % and 100 %.
- Upgrading lifts a request limit within seconds.
- v0.6
Logs, analytics and notifications
- Runtime logs for 7 days with live tail and filters kept in the URL.
- Request, bandwidth and error charts for 24 hours, 7 days and 30 days, with top paths and countries.
- Email and in-app notifications for failed deploys, verified domains, usage and new members.
- v0.5
Custom domains and environment variables
- Custom domains with the exact DNS records to add, automatic HTTPS and www ↔ apex redirects.
- Encrypted environment variables per environment, with .env paste and a redeploy prompt.
- v0.4
GitHub
- Import a repository, deploy on push, preview every branch, and get the link on pull requests.
- v0.3
First deploys
- Drop a folder or a .zip, pick a template, watch the build log, roll back in one click.
